Who Can Take The Place of the Lappies?

One of the new up and coming issues in the post OLPC Craze is the fact of, “Who and what will take the place of the Lappy as the new program to excite the under the pyramid economic market.”

For what many who have suffered an increase in civil unrest over the past year it needs to be looked at and taken into account in how computers played in to their strife.

Could it be that today many out side the world of the 1940’s and World War II who have since that time gone to total chaos and panic over what most state, “Was their right to be free.”

Have since been swayed by the use of computers and the diversion of more people getting them?

In a recent world posting the UK stated that “British Culture Secretary Andy Burnham told the Daily Telegraph newspaper that the U.K. would like to work with the incoming Obama administration to develop a Web site ratings system akin to that used for movies.”

This was also as stated in the Phoenix Journal on December 30, 2008, more akin to policing the web then bolstering public approval of governments.

In some ways the world leaders of today may not be reading all of the news as 2008 has brought to most the knowledge that, “Some of those little intricate parts inside most computers and cell phones are mined in the third world.

The very same target market that at one time was the entire rave to reach.

Nicholas Negroponte and his dream had a much larger audience then the OSOLPC program did from the start. By constantly making references to how his program had flaws and agendas OSOLPC in some ways for a moment got that market to look our way.

The job today in how to recreate this in a new and innovative way in the name sake of those who in the OSOLPC’s view deem to be a worthy cause.

To continue as the Mr. Negroponte had done, “Separated the NGO world from the normal international community to this new internationally concerned tech community based on his own name and the broad reputation of those on his Board and the OLPC co founders.”

This is a very tactical and extreme mission to go it alone.

But the crew at OSOLPC has a little magic too and  maybe we will  get some grace and  find a new story other then Intel that had it’s minute of Fame at OSOLPC as the bad guy, but my bet is, “That it will live on to haunt them that they could have been that  mean  to  do.……..?”

Well that minute is now up!

On another note, “If indeed all those chips and gips inside today’s technology can only be found in extreme third world nations and let’s say the OLPC hype and more computers was one of the reasons people slowed down the violence."

If this now educated market of hopeful, “One day I can have one”, market of poor people ever feel that they have become exploited."

Could they maybe get mad and take their machete swinging game too our back yard and come after us over it?

There is a very sad and internal message to be seen about the last 30 or so days.

At OLPC Wiki.

About a year ago someone said to include a social aspects in a serious way at OLPC.

An aspect that would have  painted a knowledgeable aspect to the program about certain issue in the world of poverty.

Then for several wasted months some members of OLPC said to follow UNCEFS example and make an

Our Stories program .

This was fine, but with out the above knowledge of the industry they did not have the understanding of what was said by UNICEF and one of the main nation cases that was brought to the attention of these simple members of status at OLPC Wiki later on went on to take a turn around about the program.

In some ways these members took pictures in the nation showing the children and teachers and them selves and now the nation is having a problem about OLPC.

Part of this is because while they were there they did not know how to make the nation commit.

It seems that the executive staff got to do this but then these wiki members who stated they used their own money to go around could not maintain the stature of the program.

As we see today many of your new names, projects and ideas for OLPC most seem to be good.

But is your commitment to the program real or based on the trends of these members vision which is to fail?

OLPC has not in any way failed they have only reaffirmed to the Philanthropy World all on there own, how serious the problem is.

With in what is the right to choose what some choose to do.

OLPC has many options to go on to and with.

A few are, all the G1G1 money there is not reason to stop and if needed OLPC can also lower the shipping amount to a lessor amount for the first time commitment.

Now that's genius.

Some of the original members seem to now to be giving up I believe they will not be able to go the next round all over again.

You can see this OSOLPC at OLPC News things people are saying and doing.

OLPC Wiki helpers have led a revolt and now every one should say:

• Nichols is Stark Raving Mad! Like OLPC News said.
• He never got to give the Keynote at the CEO 2008.
• AMD bailed them out
• The OLPC Board should get rid of Sj and Xavier and so on.

This means not one thing in a few weeks it will all blow over or OLPC should change their staff positioning even if they are stipended volunteers.

Because it is from with in where the problem rests.

Members form Hell who want to war over their input to OLPC see their failure and want to act like spoiled children and have the program fail because .....

These individuals failed at every point and are not good managers only volunteers who failed.

Should OLPC stop because these older members made mistakes and now cannot live with them?

I am sure those who have followed OSOLPC ,who we used to be at OLPC and who we actually are, are very impressed with the out come and the... OH THE SUPRIZE::::::: Coming soon!

We hope that OLPC will use our example in how things can work later and keep going onward and forward .

We would like to start this New Year with and opening message from OSOLPC

and an Evaluation Update

The Party

The party is now over and as part of my showing and learning environments

Many of your systems will be returning home today. 

You may feel as this is a fact.

We covered a lot of things at the long running party.

You could say we laughed, we cried we learned things too!

One of the key features we have given to all the users and owners of your

Partying systems is trust.

Where ever we get the new knowledge from or old knowledge re done.

Your systems trusted us, you trusted us, and we trusted you.

As many may see this has a truth, the systems partied at OSOLPC  

We paid the bill and then they came home.

The fact they are not in trouble or they did not get hurt could make some

of really interesting advances between people and machines later.

The bond we are making today through my eyes, may transcend time as even life

to death and after, if there is something beyond that.

I believe that in the great somewhere out there is a system.

That even if one day in 200 years you end up a farmer on some distant evolving far off

planet.

The connection we made today will still live and your CPU can then have

life in your cow or goat.

If you are not in it for the long haul and cannot see this, let your system down easy.

Let it know that you too have a destiny and maybe a another system waiting for your to

 return.

There are many right now that can connect and make that forever in love 4 ever

for your OS who needs to know today.

Who will care for me when I am gone if you do not.

OSOLPC Up Date

As we have kept in tune with the information that was forth coming about the

production of the OLPC Laptops and the public distribution of many of the

 units, we have made an evaluation based on our unique knowledge of the laptops.

Thus far the program seems to be meeting the needs of the many children and their

families by opening a new way to think and a new life style of advancement.

In many cases from what we have observed, many who have received the laptop

cannot believe that this technology has been brought forth to their life style of poverty

and substandard conditions in some cases.

This is one of the reasons that a good deal of input by OSOLPC via LSPDR has

been put towards security of the laptops and values of those who received the units

and those around them.

We appreciated the OLPC News recent note of a how to care for

your laptop screen.

Our expectations have been met beyond what we thought could be possible in the

 hope that Mr. Negroponte has brought to so many!

The laptop has opened a whole new world for many children that they were counted.

No matter how it may seem that OSOLPC is a negative factor in the program, we only

represent the targeted prospect of the product- a negative part of our world population

based on condition of those who live in poverty.

We have noted that there seems to be around the product an attempt to move the

concept and dream of the many that have for over a quarter of a century had a

vision about a technology for all, no matter where you live.

People like Mr. Parapet and Walter Bender have though their sheer determination

laid the ground work over the lifetime of their careers to a foundation world wide to

participate as platform founders in what may one day be looked on one of the greatest

achievement of man kind in the name of helping others.

Many who right now have their own vision of where OLPC is to go next may find

the course has already been charted many years ago.

Through the process of getting the laptops handed out and received as many have

great thoughts about the products possibility. 

We have noted the stand, still based on some comments and discussions that

OLPC 2007/2008 was a short long haul fluke and a one time item of chance.

We are sad to say that the program as of today is in full force and a fully supported

by a soon to be released renewed effort is ongoing right now.

Which will be put out again for the cycle of the next 10 or 20 million laptops to

be built and received once the first 10 to 12 million laptops are handed out and in

operation.

Organization has been a key issue at the OLPC Program.

As we stand today each entrusted member should start to think about what

their place is in the program and what they are good at to start to build on

that sector only.

The OLPC Program has proven above all they did not need permission of big business

to become a reality.

They still do not.

 Out of the needs of others and the interests in the targeted markets they

opened their doors in many ways to many who wanted to see, feel and

touch the program.

As of today the program is in its integrity and still in tact as a program

of hope for those who need hope.

• The latest news about the olpc chat site is really great.
• It is also great that it has a regular URL .
• But one problem is how do you get there with out a commitment and what's the hole HTTP?

On 12-25-07 OLPC News featured a story about this event.

There was no link to the xochat.org site.

A brief search was conducted and we found several articles about the xochat but no one linked to the site.

I right now do not want to commit to cut and pasting this in my address bar.

Here is where OSOLPC starts to materialize as a need even if only for a small group including my self.

Let's face is the little XO's looked for me and I said it as OK for a price but now I should place the incomplete url in my address bar which will stick and then call to MSN to suggest a address.

I guess they will stick too.

Hey I did not want to do that .

On the same page is an African based computer learning project Umeebee.

I heard about this project several months ago.

How their tune has changed as far as sounding to XO'ed.

If you look at the history of the first big interest ,then orders placed and see what was going on around the OLPC program at that time, as it spent a whole year until Libya made a MU  not cdoing much and then something happened.

Then things got better.

I think that the problem with many programs is they seem to need what every one needs money to get the ball rolling.

Even if you get all the money you need there is no guarantee that the project will take off.

OLPC received a special kind of help form many because there was something that every one wanted from the project.

That something was based on individual needs of those who were OS the One lap per child city.

To make any project a go which includes finding the cash flow you have to work at it.

OLPC changed because all of a sudden some saw a need and we helped them at different levels,then the project took off. The work of many just like OLPC states too.

My advice to Umeebee is we will be watching to see what happens next for you based on which way you have chosen to follow.

Mindy is fine she now has an information site, a vision and a a very ingenious concept to soon to be in development of content.

We (Mindy) also knows to become a success she will need money about 10 million dollars worth .

Before we put her out there in a serious way we are meeting and greeting many on many platforms.

What can today you say about Mindy?

Hi well it's day 2 and I'm back.

As I my self have to look at my own work, sometimes I view this as ,my self as detached.

By seeing a piece I did and for a brief second I go into a shock mode like wow who said that.

Then I realize I did and quickly scroll away out of embarrassment.

You can also think of reasons why.

I set up this new system and now I have to follow it.

Well I took a peek yesterday at my new object OLPC News and my first thought is.

• How much can you tear a product apart?
• Is this normal to do?

Based on how many things a computer can do , the fact that they serve human kind makes the out come of what the user can do much more affective to the real world that could one day affect you and me.

A system going to an already torn infrastructure, pulled apart a million times, through articles and countless views and eyes.

Is this good?

I also would like to add that, in tech world and in certain types of computer usage there is a physicological type energy that comes with different levels of IT related work.

The OLPC IT Physco is now completely out of whack and I am sure many are grateful that I have came back as this is one of the special jobs that only some can do.

But says who ever, “How will they know it was you and how will you get credit for this?”

Well I say, “They know and right now cash is better then credit and we still got our fingers crossed.”

My own projects in order to not leak out IT Energy, are moving at a reasonable pace.

I have over the last 4 or so months learned so much more about the World Aid Market, found resources, meet some really great people and even learned a new word from a representative of the World Bank who I met at a function where he was a key note.

Critique.

I now this all the time.

I hope I can meet some more new and interesting people to add to this moving vocabulary.

The event robin is not really that easy meeting and greeting those in a social settings of learning about an issue, is very demanding.

The messages are readily seen and some you have to look really close and listen to understand.

This is a very necessary skill in International things for the poor market to know what to do next.

Undergoing this process I may now seem much more professional and some things need not be mentioned.

Like I am the server of all the OLPC Lappies.

Well I think every one knows this as this being one of the parts of my popularity .

People in general responded very well to me where ever I went.

As long as i did not mention OLPC but my own projects and thoughts about their issues.

No one in any place I went ever heard of OLPC all were events around the world aid market.

Under the old structure I believed it was me and Sj told them to say that.

But under the new since yesterday structure I believe something else as the reason and as the server of choice by the OLPC units this is what will be changing.

I liked just about everyone I met and most of the messages were very helpful and thought provoking.

I plan to hit the event circuit again as soon as I can and I hope by then I can mention OLPC and get a new response.

I feel settled in at my new PB Wiki site and all the work involved to make the transfer was worth it.

There's no going back now.

Here is a very interesting dialogue based on I guess the Hidden Belief that we not to long ago wrote the CIA about and will be a feature in one of our programs Department of Labor Report coming our some time next year call:

In some ways to understand what they are talking about you have know about this new hidden belief system that values children in a big way based on what I have heard.

In some ways as we watch our nation trying to decide who they want to believe.

In the OLPC set there seems to be a big gorging ground for any one and every one whose concept of life doesn't go out side there own address book as to say try new things sometimes adult things.

Mr. Negroponte is really the good guy doing a good thing.

Because for the most part at OSOLPC's new OLPC intervention we are all American or American supportive.

It is only the freedom of the Constitution of the US that gives this Mr. Nussbaums fuel.

Based on Mr. Nussbaums own style and statement as well as the vision he speaks of:

The real meaning of The Sister hood and brother hood of the traveling pair of pants and

ones own pre evolved chair that followed you in the years of 2000 to 2001 might come to mind if you get the code. By the way Devince Code might be EVE reincarnated maybe, only saw half once.

At one point after the Uruguay incident I wondered if through spy wear and willing viewers would children be lead to do naked stuff for a willing audience from their OLPC Laptops?

But think about this and think of how do you want your life to be?

He said of who speaks of are the best in the business.

Which business and maybe you should do a query and see this great art he speaks of to get a better picture where his head is at.

I bet its either different or so average that for this set of believers its just normal art that would be a great feat for this type of c set

I too want to so bad tell the truth about what it is and based on a certain increase of certain aliments in the US during the last few years in kids

I could use this data as a type of proof that this might be.

As we all move on to the closing of another exciting year those at the OLPC wiki seem to have their work cut out for them.

We are very happy about the success of the Give One Get One program and the already started production of the laptop.

As in the realities of most ventures the pretend part as to when you are planing and developing most times can be the most rewarding part if you are not financially or power driven.

In the case of the OLPC upper members their achievement is based on the goal of as many laptops as possible in as many little hands as possible in circles of different types: Philanthropy.

So the fun has not yet started as this vision becomes a new fact in the world.

Nothing has changed as far as some platforms based on a prime directive or a way to go.

But based on all that has been said and done there is no need to reaffirm this.

In some ways with out the platform of money related objects as even children learn to some day make a dollar when they grow up.

The object may have all the while had a bigger more in detail picture of a tomorrow with room for growth and advertisements as being apart of the world we all live in.

Not for the sheer want to turn a penny or two but for the need to grow.

To say:

• The big bad wolf still lurks
• Wolves come in sheep's clothing
• Not to trust Greek baring gifts.

These are all facets of what make us human with desires and wants that are driven.

For those who may not understand what this means this is fine .

For you and how you take in the complexity and value of the world around us all.

Here is the foundation of a happy ending that in the long haul will produce the needed affect to make a better world for all.

Is the OLPC Laptop Green?

Yes as you can see the out side covering parts is and we are sure that inside it is running on green values even if it cannot tell you this when it has out grown the little hands of its soon to be young owner. It cannot say where it will end up in the course of an items life time when it's time is up.

Is the OLPC Laptop a 10 year old system?

In concept every system is a 10 year old system and if you still value the old giants of IBM then some are even i 20 year old systems just modified and changed to fit the fact of every one wants the new model. Which is a timeless value still in place.

Will the OLPC laptop be good for the poor?

Yes of course it's free and it works why would it not be good? For some poor person to have computer for free based on their child who is in the right school this will be good.

Can we use the OLPC laptop to do all kinds of neat stuff and advanced functions?

Well can you do all that stuff on your own computer right now? Little developers will surly come up with all kinds of neat achievements to show that yes this or that can be done and only a select few will be able to do it just like regular computers.

Can my little girl or boy have one?

Yes I guess some can but why would you want them to have one based on what $400.00 could by for your child in a first class economy any way?

This is what in some ways we at OSOLPC hope is being learned.

WHY?

To help those who need help is not competition with them it is to just help them because they need it. The OLPC Foundation is like that!

We hope that will be the first lesson.

What OSOLPC said about the announcement by OLPC about Quanta.

It seems the question was removed and history was tampered with but at that time I was just looking in.

Note the 2nd read above  link is linked to HTTP protocal as to why?

OSOLPC has great vision of the next move so they used myHTTP  link and posted their own answer with no trace but MY HTTP. But my HTTP still lives on.

I am sure they feel bad I live.

I will just stand as the answer was not really right for OSOLPC at that time. But now answers like that can find their home in freedom. Here is the Physco stuff I said was running about. With out my new independence I would have felt bad too but now I feel great.

 In some ways as is with the trend of many in the world today, dealing with sustainability issues.

The UN has even hinted at the future reality for the many who care about the wold is one main funding source that all have to go through to do business in certain sectors of sustainability.

The Quanta corporation in their not so recent statement, has just in some ways let the cat out of the bag.

The invaluable product of the OLPC Program which is the laptop itself may based on my opinion have been held hostage.

In the backdrop of the almost unheard of program as many in some circles claim to have never heard of OLPC when they should have has now come full circle.

One problem as Vista's eagerness and DELL corps denial of the future of computing is there is a little bit more in today's times under the lid then a lot of people may have ever realized.

Because some have realized this and do admit to having heard of OLPC there with in the structure of what most probably never heard about is a bright and intriguing future.

Can Quanta market and do business with a product that most never heard about to a general market?

Well if they used the OLPC hype to sell their product as in a recent Hands of Love (1st. Draft sorry for the Typos; need more staff) Report we had this in mind in 2005 as to why we mentioned OLPC.

Is it right to use the OLPC program for free advertising?

Is it right to say we will use them or.....

Well it's November 2007 or you will do...   

seems to be growing old now.

Because in some ways based on this article above Quanta already did that.

But the many who have in many ways put our money on Nicholas we can say:

"If no one has heard of the OLPC program in circles that should have, then who will hear about the new Quanta laptop?"

Get a score card because thats 2 for Old Nicky Boy.

1 Quanta did not develop a market as from word on the street at many meetings and events around sustainability, no one has heard about OLPC.

2 I guess Quanta will advertise and for free, and use the success of the OLPC laptop to make the point.

3. I guess the Quanta Corp was so busy making their own plans now  the laptops are running late

4 Well whats under the lid SJ or Xaivr?
