This is the home of the Outside the One Laptop per Child City.
SEE Rules and Tems of Usage below**
The One Lap Top Per Child Program or OLPC is the brain child of one
Nicholas Negroponte who I believe was or still is
the Chairman Emeritus at MIT's Media Department.
MIT is a top US University in the United States.
Also if I am not mistaken he is the owner and founder of
Wired Magazine.
My first thought when researching Mr. Negroponte was that he's not poor.
So why then would he a guy like this want to do some thing like he did?
That was in 2005 early 2006.

I am not going to say who I am but I do have experience in
compiling information about Third World and Developing Nations.
So I know things about that market.
Which makes me some what of a critic and some what of a friend if this guy
who here (unless he complains ) on this PB Wiki we will call him Nick was
really serious about doing this for these poor children of the world.
We as we stand today he almost has done it and it seems that he
has a whole set of confusing rules in how you can make an order
and he is not just like dropping the shipment off.
This guy is involved fully.
He has a a few sites where I guess people who work for the mission
and venture of one laptop for every child try to explain to others how Nick
sees it.
But first has any one every read Weird Magazine?
Well then Nick seems like a groovy guy as I heard he was an improtant
person there.
But I guess he has a heart and a no nonsense approach in how
he sees the world and the problems of the most at risk.
The poor.

But then he also reads because aside from all this he is also was
Chairmen Emeritus at MITas well as a very big player in the early days
like the 1970's on of computing in his younger days.
So he has heard the stories about the corrupt governments
that are always broke.
In a more advanced socials science kind of way
I must say this Forgive me:
"Old Nicky Boy saw that before
he could take up such an undertaking to even think that
anything could help the global disadvantaged he first tested the water.
He did this by presenting a product that is really a learning tool and
said, You had to come up with X amount of dollars which
was really $xx,xxx, xxx, xxx.oo if you wanted to play!"
Well as we stand today in one short year he got several nations to play.

I have a lot of admiration for Mr. Negroponte for his sheer determination
and will in the game to have made it as far as he has in this OLPC venture.
Now every bodies talking and saying many things but
way down under all the dogamma many other big named
companies are now in this market.
In the laptops for a low price for
the poor and the whole threading of parts of the Third World with
wireless to get them to climb aboard the the cyber high way!
This Peanut Butter Wiki is very sympathetic to the poor, their
condition, their reasoning and their judgment.
The hardest part is poor judgment of parents and adults that
will effect the children in a big way.
That is the most heart wrenching part of the whole matter.
This is also just a brief introduction to this Outside The OLPC City
theme as I have been having a little problem getting my
Wiki at the original Wiki organization so I said, "Never mind."
This was much easier to get started !
I find already the tone is a lot more free and all those cute
moves that are carried out on the big wiki's which can land you in
Wiki Court seem out of Place here at PB Wiki.
So if you come across this Wiki feel free to start a page as
it is now June 20,2007 updated 1-1-08 and I guess we will be rolling in a few weeks.
I also have the thought “What if no one comes by?”
Oh well I have a lot to say any way.
And guess what? Just like I know about old Nicky he knows
about me too and believe me they will be dropping by to
read and see what's up.
Even if it's just me all alone.
So Hello everyone Welcome to the Wiki!
